Day 3

Day: 3 Our travels brought us to a plantation in western Louisiana. It was called Houmas House. We went through the whole museum, and it was interesting to see it and the surrounding area. As we were there, the owner (who lives there) was setting up for Mardi Gras. We got to see some statues that they put up, which was really cool. A link will be down at the end of this section to their website. (Or here: https://houmashouse.com) The teachers rate this place a 4.5/10 and 5/10. “They only talked about the things in the house, and didn’t talk about slavery until I asked.” -Teacher 2022. I would give it a 6/10, because of all the artifacts that they have that are original, that bring a little more history into the tour. -ME!!!!!!! 2022. After we finished the tour, we got back in the car and started to drive to the big state of Texas! (Insert Texan accent here) We only had minor problems setting it up, and we went to bed after eating dinner.
